Unity Night of Praise will take place January 31 in the Erne Auditorium at North from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Connor was in love with the idea of developing an event that brought the Christian community of Columbus together. He and I are both Catholic. With that come many stereotypes, whether true or not, that tend to set us apart from many other Christian denominations. However, there is one undeniable similarity among Christians of different denominations. Our music is all derived from one idea: the love of God. We hope to create a sense of “unity” by performing popular Christian songs with a music group that is made up of high school students from many different denominations.
The concert will feature one song arranged and sung by East High School’s Acalympians and we hope for accompaniment by the Banister Family Bluegrass Band.

Started by the Great Lakes Clean Water Organization in 2008, the Yellow Jug Old Drug Program has partnered with Pharmacy Care Solutions in Columbus, Indiana to provide secure and responsible drug disposal. The Yellow Jug Old Drug Program addresses the fact that there are very limited ways to dispose of unwanted drugs. Now, consumers can take their unwanted medications to Pharmacy Care Solutions, located at 2323 N. Marr Road, Columbus year-round for a safe disposal option while reducing the amount of chemicals showing up in our water.
The Yellow Jug Old Drug Program not only decreases the volume of expired or unused prescription drugs in our medicine cabinets, it could also have a beneficial impact on the environment and the state’s fresh water supply.
