The Muscular Dystrophy Association of Central Indiana is holding their annual Lock-Up event on Wednesday, June 4 from 11am-2pm at the Harrison Lake Country Club. The event is a chance for business leaders in the community to use their professional and personal influence to raise funds for Central Indiana families affected by muscle disease. It is also a great event for networking with other key business leaders and gaining exposure for your company.
MDA of Central Indiana is currently accepting nominations for influential business leaders that should be recognized for their achievements and are known for having big hearts. All nominations should be emailed to Indianapolis@mdausa.org or mailed to 9100 Purdue Road, Suite 203 Indianapolis, IN 46268.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association is the world’s leading nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for 43 different neuromuscular diseases such as muscular dystrophy and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Lou Gehrig’s disease. We do so by funding worldwide research; by providing comprehensive health care services and support to MDA families nationwide; and by rallying communities to fight back through advocacy, fundraising, and local engagement.
Locally, the MDA of Central Indiana located in Indianapolis, helps to raise funds that support the 1,100 local families living with muscle disease. Of every dollar raised, 77 cents goes directly back to services, research, and education. The local services we provide include MDA clinic visits and flu shots, annual repairs of durable medical equipment, support groups for patients and caregivers, therapy consultation, and one week summer camp for ages 6-17.
