The ninth annual Garden celebration, sponsored by the Johnson County Garden Club and Purdue Master Gardeners, will be held at Scott Hall, Johnson County Fairgrounds in Franklin, on Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The theme is Native Trees of Indiana. There will be a tree giveaway; first come, first serve, as well as speakers throughout the day. In addition to plant and garden related vendors, there will be food items as well. Admission is $2.00 at the door OR the equivalent of non-perishable food items for the local food pantry. Come and help us celebrate gardening as well as the 25th anniversary of the Johnson County Garden Club!

The Clay Township Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a fish fry on May 4 at 11:00 am. Money raised will be used for the fire department.
Come out and support the local Columbus Animal Care Services at an Adoption Day Event. Anyone who wishes to show up is encouraged to bring a pet supply item that would be greatly appreciated. The event will take place inside the Animal Care Services building located on Arnold Street by the airport.
The event will be held on May 4th from 11 am -2 pm. C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue Group rescue group will also be there with spay/neuter sign ups and some of their own adoptable animals. Please come out and support the dogs who need a second chance. Thank you.
