The 2013 Columbus Solar Tour showcases eight examples of green and renewable power being generated today in Bartholomew County. See how your neighbors and YOU can use solar energy to reduce monthly utility bills, help tackle climate change, and reduce America’s dependence on foreign oil. The open house 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and guided tours at 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
Come and see firsthand many green features that save energy and money… passive solar, LEED certified buildings, earth berms, sky tubes and more! You are sure to find something unique at the eight tour sites.
Meet at the public parking lot located at the corner of 7th Street and Franklin Street for the 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm tours – we will be starting the tours, giving out detailed brochures, and carpooling from there.
