Do you have a child living in Bartholomew County who is in need of school supplies for the upcoming school year?The Bartholomew County School Supply Assistance Program is accepting registrations until July 19. Call United Way 2-1-1 simply by dialing 2-1-1 or 812-376-6666, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. For Spanish calls, call SUCASA at 812-375-9370, Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm or Tuesday and Thursday, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm to register your child.
If you’d like to make a monetary donation check can be dropped off or mailed to Sans Souci, 1526 13th St Columbus, IN 47201. Please write “School supplies” in the memo line of your check.

The 1st Annual Hope Relay for Life Tribute Ride to all those affected by cancer will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013. Registration is at 8:00 am at the east side of Hope Square. Cost is $10 for one rider or $15 for two. Tribute Ride T-Shirts are available to those who pre-register up to a month in advance for $15.
This will be a 60-80 mile route with a gas station stop.

Giddy on Up for 4-H Rodeo!
This rodeo will benefit 4-H. Join us Saturday and Sunday, June 8 & 9 at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds. There will be concessions and raffles as well.
Saturday slack starts at 10:00 am and performance begins at 5:00 pm.
Sunday slack starts at 10:00 am and performance begins an hour after slack is over.

The Bartholomew County RC Fliers invite you to their Open House to learn about radio controlled aircraft. You can actually fly their trainer planes by Radio Control, assisted by their experienced Intro Pilots on the dual-control systems!

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and umbrellas for a joyful and fun-filled evening of praise with J. Pierre and performers form across our community. Refreshments will be available or you can bring your own.
Free admission! Please bring breakfast food such as cereal, applesauce, peanut butter and jelly to donate to feed hungry children in our community this summer. Your donations will help Love Chapel.
The Columbus Teen Council is once again hosting a Battle of the Bands at Mill Race Center on June 8 at 7 pm. The event is free, but there will be concessions for sale.
