The Clay Township Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a fish fry & tractor pull on August 2, at 5:00 pm. Money raised will be used for the fire department.
Teen Council will be hosting the second annual Glow in the Park Midnight 5K at Mill Race Park starting at 11:59 pm on Friday, August 2. Registration will start at 9:00 pm.
Some glow in the dark materials will be provided, but others are highly encouraged. There will be a special prize for the person with the most glow in the dark materials.There will be one water stop.
There will be awards for the overall girl and boy winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. There will also be age groups winners with the age groups of 12 and under, 13-19, 20-39, and 40+. People can register by picking up the form at Donner or FFY and filling it out and bringing it in with $15 or by going to http://beta.active.com/columbus-in/running/glow-in-the-park-midnight-5k-2013. The fee will increase to $20 after July 26th.
Teen Council, a program of Foundation for Youth & Parks and Recreation, provides hundreds of local teenagers with positive outlets including fun and safe events and many opportunities for community involvement.
