“I went to a garden party to reminisce with my old friends” – familiar lyrics from Ricky Nelson’s 1972 hit song and the inspiration for a multi-faceted event at Mill Race Center scheduled for August 10 and 11. The Garden Party is a premiere event that will feature a juried floral display by the Mudlarks Garden Club, tablescapes by area florists and designers, educational displays and workshops, a café featuring locally grown ingredients, a garden shop and an exhibit of Daren Redman’s art quilts.
Tickets are $10 a person for MRC members and $12 for the general public. Visit www.millracecenter.org or call 812.376.9241 for more information.
