This is more than just pâté and quackers….
Again this year, we’ve teamed up with Children’s Inc. for the annual Drive Thru Breakfast – A Kiwanis Duck Adoption Fundraiser! Join us on September 19 for breakfast beginning at 7:15 right here at the QMIX Studios. Just pull up in front of the building and we’ll bring you a breakfast sandwich from the Bartholomew County Pork Producers, and your choice of coffee or milk – all for just $3. You can also adopt a duck to be entered into the Kiwanis Duck Splash for $5! If you do that, breakfast is on the house! See you there!

Join us for an evening of: FREE food live music, fun, and games for all ages. There will be drawings for iPads and other prizes. Six scholarships awarded ($1,000 each)! To apply visit www.CommunityEdFest.com. The last day to apply is September 16.
This year’s Community Book Read is The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen. Tess will be at the library on October 9. Three programs related to The Bone Garden will be held in September with two book discussions in October and a program on Indiana’s medical history.
At the beginning of The Bone Garden Julia Hamill sets out to plant a garden-what she finds is a skeleton dating from the 1800’s. Dr. Rick Jones, state archaeologist, will cover the Historic Preservation and Archaeology statute in Indiana that affords protection to human remains dating before 1940. He will include discussions and questions about situations, complexities, and issues.
