Make an ornament to honor a veteran or current member of the military. Ornaments can contain a photo and/or name of your veteran and any other decorations you wish to add. Or, you can pick up a paper ornament in the shape of a dog tag at the library. The Heroes Tree will go up at the library on November 11th and stay in place through the end of the year.
Centra Foundation will partner with the Salvation Army (FOP Cops & kids in Jackson County) in each of the Indiana communities where Centra Credit Union has a branch. Angel Tree tags will be displayed on Christmas Trees in the branch. Our intent is to provide a new option for individuals who do not have the time to purchase gifts and return them to the Salvation Army.
Christmas Angels Tags with a child’s name and age will represent a child’s complete wish/need and will be valued from $50- $100. Other ornaments will offer smaller donation amounts starting at $10. These donations would be pooled towards the purchase of gifts.
The program will run from Nov 25th – Dec 14th.
