Make an ornament to honor a veteran or current member of the military. Ornaments can contain a photo and/or name of your veteran and any other decorations you wish to add. Or, you can pick up a paper ornament in the shape of a dog tag at the library. The Heroes Tree will go up at the library on November 11th and stay in place through the end of the year.
Christmas Dinner: celebrating the Season four our Friends and Neighbors. Delivery is noon to 2 pm, carry out is 2 to 4 pm, dine in from 5 to 6:30 pm. Call 736-7962 between December 2 – 20 to request a meal.

Shawn Malone of Brooklyn Pizza and Brian D’Arco of Bubba’s Place are providing free meals on Christmas Day to those who cannot afford to make their own.
They are providing the meals for free to help relieve the financial strain some can feel at this time of year, but you must register by this Friday to receive a meal.
Registration ends THIS Friday, December 20th at 5 PM. Call 2-1-1 now from 8 AM- 5 PM Today through Friday to get registered. If you live in Jackson, or Jennings, County and need a Christmas meal delivered to your home on Christmas Day, call 211 to get registered.
Families on the Move – offered by Reach Healthy Communities
For parents who are interested in enticing their children to make healthy beverage choices, Reach Healthy Communities has a FREE session scheduled for Thursday, December 19th. From 5:30-6:00 p.m. at Donner Center, Registered Dietician Molly Marshall will show your family how to make healthy drink choices.
Sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics, this session of Families on the Move offers an opportunity to learn about healthy beverages and a free gift will be provided to all households.

These series are designed for people who have a book inside them, just waiting to get out… but don’t want to spend a fortune getting published by a vanity press.
Each series costs only $75 and consists of six weekly sessions, covering topics from preparation of manuscripts in Word format for self-publication, to actual publication of books at Lulu.com, Amazon’s CreateSpace.com, Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing, Barnes & Noble’s Nook Press, and Smashwords.
The instructor is a Harvard graduate and editor of SelfPublishersMonthly.com, a new worldwide e-Book series available from Amazon, Apple and Barnes & Noble’s Nook Press.
