The Kenko Challenge (Kenko means “health” in Japanese) is an 8 week team-based wellness challenge. The challenge begins April 2nd and run through May 28th. There are fun and energizing interactive challenges and games where healthy lifestyles behaviors will be practiced. Teams of 2-7 need to register at www.kenkochallenge.com The cost of $15.00 per person includes all costs, including a lipid/glucose screening voucher. Team with the highest total points will win prizes as the KENKO champions!
We have partnered with Jeff Niewedde, a professional race coordinator, to help make this event a staple in the community.
The Crossroads of Indiana Race Series certified course will make a loop around the neighborhoods of downtown Columbus with the start and finish line being at the United Way Center. All registered participants will be entered to win a $200 Visa Card. Registration will start at 7:00 am and the race will start at 8:00 am. Sign up before race day by going online to www.signmeup.com/96626 or at the Thrive Alliance central office inside the United Way Center.
Dancers Studio, Inc. will present “Peter & The Wolf and Other Works” at Columbus North Auditorium on Saturday, April 12th at 7pm and Sunday April 13th at 2:30pm. Tickets are $9 in advance for students and $10 at the door. General admission is $14 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets are available in advance at Kids Commons and Donner Center. 35 vendors ranging from Just Jewelry, Scentsy, Thirty One, Mary Kay, Avon, Pampered Chef, It Works, Jamberry Nails, Tupperware, handmade ink pens and bottle stoppers, crochet kitchen towels, glass tile necklaces, paparazzi, handmade aprons, tie bags, Easter baskets, Celebrating Home, handmade antique plate clocks, walking sticks, painted canvas, book marks, painted glasses, and many more.
There will also be a bake sale and lunch items.
All funds raised will support Relay for Life/American Cancer Society
