KENKO Challenge

Kenko 2014 Poster 8.5x11The Kenko Challenge (Kenko means “health” in Japanese) is an 8 week team-based wellness challenge. The challenge begins April 2nd and run through May 28th. There are fun and energizing interactive challenges and games where healthy lifestyles behaviors will be practiced. Teams of 2-7 need to register at www.kenkochallenge.com The cost of $15.00 per person includes all costs, including a lipid/glucose screening voucher. Team with the highest total points will win prizes as the KENKO champions!

Artists Needed for Annual Déjà Vu Art and Fine Craft Show

Artists are being sought for the annual Déjà Vu Art and Fine Craft Show, which will be held at The Commons in Columbus, Indiana on Saturday, November 15, 2014. Because the show is held in celebration of America Recycles Day, all work exhibited is to be made of, at least in part, scrap or repurposed materials. A few applicants who create their work from natural or sustainable materials will be accepted as well.

 

Those who are interested in exhibiting are to submit digital photos and an application in order to be juried. Deadline for applications is June 17. Artists will be notified of the jury results by July 8. A booth rental fee of $85 must be paid by July 22. To download more information and an application, visithttp://www.kid-at-art.com/htdoc/dejavuentry2014.html. Entry forms can also be picked up at the Columbus Area Arts Council offices located at 300 Washington Street, Columbus. Those with questions may call the Arts Council at (812) 376-2539.

In addition to Columbus Area Arts Council, sponsors include the Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District, Columbus Area Visitors Center, Hotel Indigo, Papa’s Deli/Papa’s Grill, Pentzer Printing, and Puccini’s.
