The Kenko Challenge (Kenko means “health” in Japanese) is an 8 week team-based wellness challenge. The challenge begins April 2nd and run through May 28th. There are fun and energizing interactive challenges and games where healthy lifestyles behaviors will be practiced. Teams of 2-7 need to register at www.kenkochallenge.com The cost of $15.00 per person includes all costs, including a lipid/glucose screening voucher. Team with the highest total points will win prizes as the KENKO champions!
Artists are being sought for the annual Déjà Vu Art and Fine Craft Show, which will be held at The Commons in Columbus, Indiana on Saturday, November 15, 2014. Because the show is held in celebration of America Recycles Day, all work exhibited is to be made of, at least in part, scrap or repurposed materials. A few applicants who create their work from natural or sustainable materials will be accepted as well.
Those who are interested in exhibiting are to submit digital photos and an application in order to be juried. Deadline for applications is June 17. Artists will be notified of the jury results by July 8. A booth rental fee of $85 must be paid by July 22. The exhibit is free and open to the public for viewing in the cases on the second floor of The Commons, 300 Washington Street, Columbus, Indiana, from May 28 through June 30, whenever the Commons is not reserved for private events. The public is invited to meet the artists to learn more about their work at a reception in their honor on Tuesday, June 24, 6:00–7:30 PM at the upper level of the Commons.
Canary Creek Cinemas Summer Movie Camp is held at Canary Creek Cinemas in Franklin. The Summer Movie Camp runs every Wednesday morning for 10 weeks. The 2014 series will begin on Wednesday, May 28th and conclude on Wednesday, July 30th . Doors open at 9:15am, movie starts at 10am. This is a free event open to all ages in our community. We will have many popular G & PG rated titles for the family friendly free shows. The Summer Movie Camphas been offered for the past twelve years at Canary Creek Cinemas.

This group will meet the first Wednesday or every month at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church from 6:00-8:00 in Room 2102.
