An exhibit of Book Art from the students of the Herron School of Art & Design, IUPUI in Indianapolis
The exhibit is free and open to the public for viewing in the cases on the second floor of The Commons, 300 Washington Street, Columbus, Indiana, from May 28 through June 30, whenever the Commons is not reserved for private events. The public is invited to meet the artists to learn more about their work at a reception in their honor on Tuesday, June 24, 6:00–7:30 PM at the upper level of the Commons.
Register, raise funds, and run or walk – that’s all it takes to be a hero in the eyes of a person facing lung cancer. Join hundreds of community members as they gather for a day of impact at the Indianapolis Free to Breathe Run/Walk on June 14 at Fort Harrison State Park. The inspirational event will feature a 5K run and walk and 1-mile walk for all fitness levels.
All proceeds from the event support Free to Breathe, a nonprofit lung cancer research and advocacy organization dedicated to ensuring surviving lung cancer is the expectation, not the exception. Artists are being sought for the annual Déjà Vu Art and Fine Craft Show, which will be held at The Commons in Columbus, Indiana on Saturday, November 15, 2014. Because the show is held in celebration of America Recycles Day, all work exhibited is to be made of, at least in part, scrap or repurposed materials. A few applicants who create their work from natural or sustainable materials will be accepted as well.
Those who are interested in exhibiting are to submit digital photos and an application in order to be juried. Deadline for applications is June 17. Artists will be notified of the jury results by July 8. A booth rental fee of $85 must be paid by July 22. The Columbus Area Arts Council is a public, not-for-profit corporation supported by private donations, the City of Columbus, the State of Indiana through the Indiana Arts Commission, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
The ACTS is holding a rummage sale fundraiser. If you would like to donate something to help us raise money we are accepting donations June 12 and 13 from 12:00 – 8:00 pm and also on June 14 from 8:00 – 5:00 pm. We are accepting everything but clothes. If you donate something electronic it needs to be in working order. Anything that does not get sold will be donated to local charities.

- The Colts encourage all fans to arrive early.
- The line for player and cheerleader autographs may be cut off at any time to ensure the Tour remains on schedule.
- All Colts Summer Tour stops are rain or shine.
- Colts players subject to change due to scheduling conflicts.
- Team practice schedules and meetings may cause for players to arrive late or depart early.
- Fans will be allowed one autograph per person; however fans may get back in line for additional autographs.
- All Colts Summer Tour stop times are local.
