The Indiana Artists Club annual Member Exhibition, which opens September 22, features up to 100 pieces in a variety of media and styles, including pastels, oils, watercolors, acrylics and more. Most of the artwork is for sale.
A free opening reception, with light refreshments, will be held at the Columbus Learning Center on Saturday, October 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Shawn Thomas Dingwerth, executive director of the Richmond Museum of Art and author, will speak at the reception at 6:30 p.m. about his new book, “The Richmond Group Artists.” Copies of the book, which tells the untold story of a group of artists who developed a distinctive impressionistic style which transformed Richmond into an important center for art in the Midwest, will be available for purchase and signature.
The exhibition runs through December 30, 2014. It is free and open to the public, Monday – Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with extended hours until 10 p.m. on Monday – Thursday through Dec. 15. The Edinburgh Sons of American Legion Post 233 Scholarship Golf Outing is September 14, at Timbergate Golf Course. There will be a shotgun start at 9:00 am. $240 per team, available to the first 36 teams by September 7. Prizes to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. 4th place will be awarded based on blind draw.
Door prizes, closest to pin, long drive. Dinner and awards at American Legion Post 233.

We will provide: Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, and all the “fixins” including some Boca Burgers and Turkey Burgers for those who prefer them. Please bring a Side Dish to share, Tableware, and your drink of choice (Alcohol is not allowed in park. Feel free to bring a lawn chair and an outdoor activity. )

From Indy, Take I-65 South to Exit 68. Turn left onto State Road 46 East. Go approximately one and a half mile, be in left lane crossing bridge. Merge in to Lindsay Street, Sears/Mall will be on the right, turn left first street after Sears (New Indigo Hotel on the left) and you will head into the park.
