Are you interested in giving your kids the opportunity to learn Spanish or reinforce their native Spanish language? Join us at FFY to learn more about the Spanish Learning Center, which offers a semester course of Saturday morning Spanish classes for children ages 4-12.
Classes run from 9 to 11 a.m. every Saturday during the school calendar. Learn more about the spring semester, which kicks off on January 24. Participate in the activities your kids will experience during the semester.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and specific program details will be shared at 6 p.m.

Join us at The Commons in downtown Columbus for Arts for AIDS – an Observance of World AIDS Day with “Songs and Stories of Life.” The program features Bernard Woma and Saakumu Dance Troop interweaving music and dance with stories of victims and survivors of AIDS.
Food will be provided by Chef Carrie, plus there will be a cash bar and a bazaar from 5:00 pm. After the program, stick around for a dance party with DJ Ras Max from 7:30 – 9:30 pm.
Arts for AIDS raises awareness of HIV/AIDS, generates support for those affected by this pandemic, and connects communities through artistic expression. Arts for AIDS Supports these organizations: Baobab Home Orphanage, The Granny Connection, Imani Workshops/AMPATH Kenya, Konbit Lasante Pou Limonad, and Matthew Rusike Children’s Home.
Seasoned online shoppers and those new to the experience will each glean information during this session lead by Paul Kalirai, Information Technology graduate from Purdue University. He will cover how to avoid the common methods used by hackers to access your personal information, how to make secure payments via the internet and other topics related to a secure online shopping experience.

Free preschool for income-eligible families of children ages 3-5. Head Start of Bartholomew County and Edinburgh is currently enrolling children for the 2014-2015 school year. Classes are 4 hours a day, 4 days a week. Bus transportation may be available in your area.
