Jeff Belth, author of Butterflies of Indiana: A Field Guide, and Sandy Belth, Assistant Naturalist for Monroe County Parks & Recreation, will describe the life cycle, migration, and conservation of the Monarch butterfly. They will include an account of their recent visit to the Monarch’s overwintering grounds in Mexico. Sponsored by the Bartholomew County Library Associates and the Sassafras Audubon Society, serving South Central Indiana.

Create a unique and snuggly-soft scarf from a luxurious blend of silk and multi-colored merino. A quick, easy, fun project that requires no previous knitting experience. Instructor Nancy de Capraiis of Sheep Street in Morgantown will provide the fiber and felting materials. Please bring scissors, large absorbent bath towel, a plastic bag to carry your finished scarf home and your enthusiasm. Model on display at the Trafalgar Branch. There is a $35.00 (cash) fee, which attendees will pay the presenter at the start of the program.
