The Fitness Factory & 812CrossFit 2nd Annual Free 5K Dog Walk
The Fitness Factory & 812CrossFit is having their 2nd Annual Free 5K Dog Walk May 19th, 2013 at 1:00pm. Any donations made will go to the Bartholomew County Humane Society. The walk will start at the gym located at 1750 25th Street (the old Aldi building in the 25th Street Shopping Plaza). EVERYONE is welcome! There will be a limited amount of extra dogs available to walk if you don’t have one, please call 812-657-7093 to request a dog to walk that day.

Bartholomew County 2013 Spring Demolition Derby
This is the first of four stops for Rouse Promotions and the Indiana Demolition Derby Series and the Indiana AutoCross series in 2013. Come watch local drivers compete against other drivers from all over the state. This event will feature full size car and lawn mower demolition derbies. Also in action is full size car and mini car Autocross. Autocross takes the thrill of racing and combines it with the contact portion of demolition derby, the track also has jumps built in to it to add another element of excitement. Come out and see the action and destruction!!!

34th Annual Grizzly Grand Prix
Franklin College will host its 34th annual Grizzly Grand
Prix Team Bike Race on Saturday, April 27 in the circle drive in front of
the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, located at 690 State St.
Community members are invited to attend this free event. The women’s and
co-ed race will begin at 11 a.m. and is 16.5 miles in length. The men’s
race, 33 miles long, will immediately follow. In case of inclement weather,
the event will be postponed until Sunday, April 28.
The Grizzly Grand Prix is sponsored by Franklin College’s Student
Foundation. The college’s Student Congress will provide breakfast treats for
spectators beginning at 10 a.m.
Prior to the bike races, there will be a kite flying festival held on the
front lawn of the Indiana Masonic Home. Kites will be provided by Student
Foundation for those who wish to participate.

Tour de Trails – Walk/Run
The Columbus Park Foundation presents the 2013 Tour de Trails Run/Walk! This great event will be held Saturday, April 20th at LHP Software. All proceeds go towards the maintenance and expansion of the People and Bike Trail System. Help us meet our goal of bringing our trail system within 3 blocks of 90% of our residents. After the race you can join us for Tropical Smoothie Cafe smoothies and awards! Awards will be given to the overall male and female finishers as well as age division awards 11-80+. New for 2013 – Chip Timing!!
The following races are available:
- 8K Run – Start Time 8:00 a.m.
- 5K Run – Start Time 8:10 a.m.
- 5K Walk – Start Time 8:10 a.m. behind 5K Run
- FREE Kids Fun Run – Start Time approx 9:20 a.m. post-race
On site registration and packet pick up will be 7:00 – 7:45 a.m. the day of the race.
Entry Fee (No Refunds):
- $15 (no shirt) before 3/15
