Insects and other invertebrates are important not only as carriers of diseases, but also as tools that help us to solve crimes and even improve human & animal health. Learn about the fields of forensic and medical entomology, including therapeutic uses of invertebrate animals, and crime scene investigation.   The Bone Garden was published 6 years ago, since then the use of insects for forensics has improved.  A bone-cleaning demonstration, using beetles, will be included as part of the presentation.  Luke Jacobus is an Assistant Professor of Biology at IUPUC.
