JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. – The Purdue Extension in Jennings County is offering Dining with Diabetes sessions this February 20, February 27, March 5, and March 12, at 6 p.m., at the Jennings County Public Library.

Dining with Diabetes is a series of five sessions, including a three-month reunion meeting. The program is open to those with diabetes, their family members, and caretakers. The cost is $20 per person or $25 per couple.

Attendees will learn how to cook with type 2 diabetes and control their blood sugar to feel better and reduce the risk of health complications. Attendees will learn how to fix healthy, easy-to-prepare, meals. Recipes will be demonstrated, and participants will have the chance to taste each one. You will also be educated with up-to-date information on nutrition, meal planning, exercise, and how to understand common diabetes-related medical tests.
