Haven Sanctuary for Women will celebrate the opening of its first facility with an open house, Feb. 8th, 2014 from 1-5 p.m.
Haven Sanctuary for Women is a 501c3 transitional organization that was established by Greenwood’s Carol Allen-Naragon in 2009 that aids single women and their children in need. Qualifying families may live at Haven House for up to a two years, where women will be equipped with the ability to support themselves and their families.
The open house theme is “pack-the pantry.” Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items and paper products, such as toilet paper, paper towels and paper plates, in preparation for the first family that will reside at Haven.
There will also be a ribbon cutting at 2 p.m. Tours will also be provided.
