HOPE, Ind. – In a Facebook post Wednesday, it was announced that Hope Heritage Days (HHD) will not take place this year. Organizers of the festival that usually takes place the last weekend in September said, “We delayed this inevitable decision for as long as we could, hoping and praying for COVID-19 conditions to improve. The 2020 Hope Heritage Days is canceled.”
It is a blow to area non-profit organizations, who depend on HHD for much of their operating budgets. Many businesses and vendors will also be negatively impacted.
Organizers continued, “We’re so sorry. We are looking forward to the 2021 festival.”
