You are invited to a humane education presentation by Hope For Ferals on Tuesday, October 14th to raise awareness for FERAL CATS! Join us in our mission to advocate for ferals and give them hope in Bartholomew County, Indiana!
We will start at the conference room at Bartholomew County Public Library Conference Room from 3:30PM to 5:00. We will have a short presentation on why nonprofit Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs like HFF are vital to our community, what Hope For Ferals does, why we do it, and what you can do to help!
We will then go around Columbus and pass out information TNR and Hope For Ferals after the presentation. Educating the public on TNR will help reduced the number of cats killed in local shelters!

The Community Center of Hope, Inc., (CCH), a 501(c)3 non-profit of Hope, Indiana, has been selected as one of two non-profit recipients to receive a matching endowment for 2014 from Heritage Fund, The Community Foundation of Bartholomew County. In order to receive this matching endowment from the Heritage Fund, CCH must raise $10,000 that will contribute to this fund.
What is an endowment?
An endowment is an investment whose capital cannot be withdrawn, but the interest earned each year can be used by the Community Center of Hope, Inc. for the center’s needs, such as:
scholarships for low-income families in need of child care
supporting operating costs of the Hope Food Bank which is housed on the center’s property
providing support for capital projects that would benefit the community and CCH’s clients
How can you help?
First and foremost, any donation you make to this fund will be appreciated, big or small! Simply pledge the amount you wish to donate and enter your credit card information in Tilt.com’s secure payment center. Once our campaign has reached the “tilt” threshold of $8,000, payments will be processed and you will receive a receipt for to tax-deductible donation.
(If you would like to make a donation by cash or check, please see the “Want to make a donation in person?” section below.)
Second, spread the word! Tell your family, friends, co-workers, clubs, organizations, church congregation, anyone and everyone about out fundraiser. Send out emails, post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, whatever social media site you use! Send it across the country- anyone can donate!! Simply direct others to this site, where they can make a secure online donation, and ask them to help spread the word, too.
Our Tilt campaign must reach the “tilt” threshold of $8,000 before the campaign ends on November 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. before any money is collected. If we do not meet out “tilt’ threshold, no payments will be processed, so as you can see, every donation is important!
Don’t forget, your donation, once processed, is tax-deductible!
Are you a business owner?
Consider hosting a mini-fundraiser for us, with the money contributing to our online endowment Tilt campaign! Example: Pledge a $1 for a specific food item sold over the course of a weekend, host a silent auction or raffle, or share our information on your website. If you’d like some ideas for a mini-fundraiser, contact Chelsea Kendall, CCH Executive Director at (812) 546-4499, or Joanna Tucker, CCH Board of Directors President at firstname.lastname@example.org. We would both love to share ideas with you! And again, your business donation is tax-deductible!
Want to make a donation in person?
That’s okay! In addition to our online Tilt campaign, donations by cash or check can also be made directly to the Community Center of Hope, Inc. or to Heritage Fund, just be sure to identify that the donation is for the endowment. These donations will be added to our Tilt totals to help us reach our goal.
