COLUMBUS, Ind. – The annual CMR Electric/QMIX Girly Golf was held last Wednesday at Otter Creek Golf Course. The 9-hole scrambles outing, for females only, is held each year with the event raising money for Turning Point.
It is a day of relaxation with special fun activities on each tee-bed, and a little bit of golf is also played. This year’s Girly Golf was sold out and 72 players enjoyed an afternoon in the sun for a very worthy cause.
QMIX 107.3 Operations Manager Brittany Gray said Tuesday that money from sponsors, entry fees, and donations totaled $15,000 for Turning Point Domestic Violence Services from CMR Electric’s QMIX Girly Golf. Add the $5,000 match from Richard Hawes Insurance and a record $20,000 was raised.
Gray added, “I want to send a giant Thank You to everyone who participated.”
