Hauser High School basketball fans will turn the stands into a blaze of red Jan. 31 when the school hosts its first annual RED OUT to raise awareness about heart disease and stroke at its game against South Decatur High School.
Students and fans are encouraged to participate in the RED OUT by wearing red GET FIRED UP t-shirts, which are available for a $10 donation to the American Heart Association. The shirts will be available at the high school throughout Heart Week leading up to and at the game.
The RED OUT is a community outreach program of the Hauser SADD students, who will be raising donations all week at school with several activities and getting the message out on a heart healthy lifestyle.
All money raised by the RED OUT will support the American Heart Associations mission of building healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke in Bartholomew County.
