This state competition, sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society, brings professional barbecue teams from all over Indiana and other various states to our city for a chance to be named Grand Champion.  $6,000 in prize money will be given away. The teams will arrive on Friday night during our live concert featuring the Electric Impulse Cloggers from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm and The Woomblies from 7:00 pm-10:00 pm.  On Saturday night from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm our live concert will be The Blue River Band, you will NOT want miss it! A free classic car cruise-in will take place on North Main Street starting at 5:00 pm. We encourage the public to come out and watch the professionals cook while enjoying live music, kids’ activities, and food on the courthouse square.  Amateur categories are also available for those interested. Entry forms are available at www.DiscoverDowntownFranklin.com.

The People’s Choice competition will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm. Participants can purchase a $5 ticket to sample pulled pork from 7 professional teams and vote for their favorite.
