Congrats to our April Hometown Hero: Kelly Jones!

Kelly Jones is the director of first impressions at Harrison College. Kelly is the type of person who goes above and beyond for the students and staff. Every morning Kelly greets each person by name and asks how they are doing. If there is ANY type of problem, whether it be at home or school, Kelly will personally help you. Many times Kelly has given money to students who were in need of help with gas money, paying bills or even just buying something from the vending machines. She never requests the money back, she just simply ask that after graduation and that person gets on their feet, if they will pay it forward. She calls students if they are absent, checking to make sure everything is okay. She is involved in community projects that Harrison College signs up for. She does all the paperwork for the staff at Harrison, makes appointments for potentially new students and returning students. She is what makes the day run smoothly for the entire office at Harrison. Kelly does not know a stranger. She will go out of her way to make your day a special one. I have seen Kelly do some outstanding things for our community and for our "family" here at Harrison. I truly believe Columbus is blessed to have someone like Kelly Jones living here.

Congrats to our March Hometown Hero: Judy Kiesow!

Judy serves tirelessly as the Care Ministry Coordinator at our church. Putting in more than the required 40 hours a week, she constantly looks for opportunities to help those who are most in need. Giving of her time, her energy, and her stuff, she strives in all she does to let others see the love she has for them. She leads many differnt groups that serve the community in other ways as well. Often she will drive individuals where they need to go. She helps individuals get connected with community resources. She volunteers her time to visit the sick and the shut-in of our community. She seeks to lift up those who are hurting and give them hope. Judy Kiesow is a Columbus Hero.
