Ronald McCleery Jr., age 49, of Seymour, passed away Thursday February 2, 2012 at his parents’ home. Pastor Scott Brown will conduct services, assisted by Bill Weaver, at 11 a.m. Monday, February 6, at Reddington Christian Church. Visitation will be held from 2 until 7 p.m. Sunday, February 5, at Reddington Christian Church and from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church on Monday. Burial will follow in Reddington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the family to go towards the girls’ college fund. Norma J. (Coffman) Waltz, 73, of Nashville, passed away February 2, 2012 in Columbus. She also had lived in Seymour. Rosemary Giles, 72, formerly of Edinburgh, died Tuesday January 31, 2012 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Franklin. Jerry Wayne Ramey, 71, of Edinburgh, died Friday January 27, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital in Beech Grove. Jerry was a member of the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1964 and a member of the Indiana National Guard from 1983 to 1993. He was a member of the Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine in Indianapolis, Edinburgh Masonic Lodge #100, O.E.S. #439 in Franklin, Edinburgh American Legion #233 and Edinburgh VFW #7964. He owned and operated Ramey Marble & Tile in Columbus and was formerly employed by Chance Bros. Marble & Tile in Greenwood. He retired as a Supply Sgt. for the Indiana National Guard and was also a former EMT with Edinburgh Fire & Rescue. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Yeaton officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Andrew M. “Andy” White, 52 of Columbus, passed into the hands of God on Friday January 27, 2012 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Andy was a 1979 graduate of Columbus East High School. Following graduation, Andy enlisted in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged in 1990 after serving as a light duty mechanic in the 101st Airborne Unit out of Fort Campbell, Ky. Part of his military career included a two year stint in the local Army Reserve and after his discharge, he served in the National Guard. The funeral service celebrating the life of Andy will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th St. with Pastor Bob Reeves officiating. Arianna Lynn and Isabella Christine Shipley, twin daughters of Colin Shipley and Rachael Noel, both of Columbus, were born at 4:14 a.m. Wednesday January 25, 2012, and passed away peacefully in the arms of family and met the eyes of Jesus at 5:36 a.m. the same day at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. The twins are survived by their parents; their grandparents, Greg and Jana Noel of Columbus, Indiana, Linda Shipley of Columbus, Indiana, Dan Shipley and Tammy Fish, both of Nashville, Indiana; and aunts, Lindsay and Abby Noel, both of Columbus, Indiana; and an uncle, Bryce Fish of Nashville, Indiana.  Funeral services will be private. Franklin W. Berry, 78, of Columbus died Monday January 2, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus. Major Berry served two tours in Vietnam and was the recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, 27 Air Medals and the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Silver Star, among numerous other medals.  Following his retirement from the U.S. Army, Mr. Berry was a substitute teacher for the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation and he was a part-time employee for the Columbus Youth Camp for over 20 years. Services will be conducted at a later date at the Arlington National Cemetery Chapel in Arlington, VA, with a caisson procession to his gravesite and full military rites conducted by the Arlington National Cemetery Honor Guard. She later retired from Chrysler Corporation, and after retiring enjoyed spending the summers in Canada and the winters in Florida. Betty Jean Cox, 88, of Edinburgh, died on Tuesday November 22, 2011, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Calling will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time. Ruth D. Purcell, 84, of Rushville, formerly of the Edinburgh area, died at 7:15 a.m. Saturday December 3, 2011 in Indianapolis.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday December 7th, 2011 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rushville with Pastor Jan Dimick officiating. Calling will be at the church from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday. James R. “Jim” Wooton, 46, of Brown County, died Monday morning December 5, 2011 at Brown County Health & Living Community in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday December 8, 2011 at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown with the Rev. David Hayes officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday December 7, 2011. Burial will be at Lanam Ridge Cemetery in Nashville.
