The Jennings County Players are proud to bring the stage play version of “It’s A Wonderful Life” to the Park Theatre on December 5, 6 and 7.
The play is centered on George Bailey and his life in the small town of Bedford Falls. Bailey, who is facing disaster with the family run savings and loan, begins to regret choices in his life and considers suicide. Luckily for George, he has a guardian angel named Clarence and a family who loves him. Like George, we often are unaware of how deeply we are loved by others, and how our life events affect those around us. Ultimately, the play is a message of hope.
Amber and Josh Shafer are the co-directors for the Players’ performances. They have put together a superb cast that includes veteran and new actors. They are confident that everyone, young and old, will enjoy witnessing this beloved story come to life on the stage!
Performances for “It’s A Wonderful Life” (adapted for the stage by James W. Rodgers; Dramatic Publishing) are Friday, December 5 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, December 6 at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, December 7 at 2:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Park Theatre Civic Centre, 25 N Madison Avenue, North Vernon. The Box Office is open Tuesday and Thursday, 3:00 – 6:00 pm and Saturday, 10:00 am- 1:00 pm. Pastor and Author David C. Bosley takes listeners on a journey through his poems and songs of the last 30 years based on his new book, In My Father’s Image. His message is the age old, “Good, Better, Best, never let it rest…” Instead of the oftentimes cut throat “dissing” competition by discrediting others he aims to enlighten and refine himself and others to bring greater glory to his father, both the earthly and heavenly.
