Bartholomew County Fairgrounds hosts COVID vaccine clinic

Columbus, IN, USA / QMIX 107.3

COLUMBUS, Ind. – A free COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinic is planned for this weekend at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds, in the area where you would normally find the midway, on Friday and Saturday from noon until 8 p.m. both days.

No appointment is necessary and the vaccine is free. Residents will have their choice of the Johnson & Johnson or Pfizer vaccine.

Johnson & Johnson only requires one dose instead of two, but Pfizer is the only vaccine approved for individuals between 12 and 17 years old. The Pfizer vaccine also was recently given full approval by the FDA, plus it will make available a third booster shot soon.

The Bartholomew County Health Department ensures that both vaccines are fully tested and highly effective at preventing serious illness from COVID-19.
