Columbus City Hall hosts redistricting meeting

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus City Hall is holding a public informational meeting to discuss the proposed Columbus Common Council redistricting which would be effective beginning in 2024. Maps showing the proposed districts will be shown during the session, per city officials.

The meeting is Monday, September 12, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the Cal Brand Meeting Room at Columbus City Hall, 123 Washington St. A presentation begins at 5:15 p.m., followed by a question and answer period.

Columbus City Council voted in July to become a second-class city, which means adding an additional district-representing member and an at-large member, increasing the council to nine people.
