FRANKLIN, Ind. – Franklin Parks and Recreation has updated its reopening policies and procedures after Gov. Holcomb announced a modification plan for Indiana. Rather than moving to the final stage 5, Holcomb announced Wednesday that Indiana would slow their reopening and enter stage 4.5, which does not include a complete back-to-normal situation.
Starting Monday, July 6, the Franklin Cultural Arts and Recreation Center will open, but multiple changes will be made to meet current public health standards for COVID-19. Among other things, drinking fountains will close, the indoor track will have limited use, face masks will be made available, and staff will be continuously cleaning and sanitizing the facility.
The recreation center will operate on summer hours, which are 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
