INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Historical Society (IHS) recently announced its support of 18 local historical organizations representing 15 Indiana counties.
The IHS Heritage Support Grants Program has awarded over $500,000 and some of that money is going to the Bartholomew County Historical Society (BCHS).
The Henry Breeding Farm, which was built in 1871 and is considered to be the last 19th-century farmhouse in the county, will receive $45,000 to support its restoration. Repairing the structure will help ensure the BCHS collections are in a safe and secure environment.
