COLUMBUS, Ind. – Ivy Tech Community College Columbus is holding a virtual commencement, on May 15, to honor its graduating class of 2020. The virtual commencement video will premiere on the Ivy Tech Columbus YouTube channel this Friday at 6 p.m.
It will feature the opportunity to chat live with campus administrators, faculty, and staff during the premiere. A direct link will be made available for later viewing.
The digital graduation will be held in place of the campus’ in-person ceremony this year as a safe and appropriate celebration of the college’s graduating class of 2020. The college said that any 2020 Ivy Tech graduate who wishes to do so is also invited to participate in the in-person ceremony at the spring 2021 commencement.
The YouTube commencement will feature many of the traditions of an in-person ceremony, including naming the outstanding graduates for each of the campus’ academic programs. The graduation also will include some fresh, fun additions only made possible in the virtual environment.
