Join us at The Commons in downtown Columbus for Arts for AIDS – an Observance of World AIDS Day with “Songs and Stories of Life.” The program features Bernard Woma and Saakumu Dance Troop interweaving music and dance with stories of victims and survivors of AIDS.
Food will be provided by Chef Carrie, plus there will be a cash bar and a bazaar from 5:00 pm. After the program, stick around for a dance party with DJ Ras Max from 7:30 – 9:30 pm.
Arts for AIDS raises awareness of HIV/AIDS, generates support for those affected by this pandemic, and connects communities through artistic expression. Arts for AIDS Supports these organizations: Baobab Home Orphanage, The Granny Connection, Imani Workshops/AMPATH Kenya, Konbit Lasante Pou Limonad, and Matthew Rusike Children’s Home.

Join us in celebrating Black History Month! “Ask Your Mama: 12 Moods for Jazz” – The Langston Huges Project is Friday, February 20, 2015 at The Commons. The program features Ron McCurdy with guest appearance from Columbus star, Marja Harmon. Appetizers and bar is at 6:00 pm and the program starts at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students.
