Town of Hope awarded grant for streetscape project

HOPE, Ind. – Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs recently announced that 17 rural Indiana communities will receive more than $10.5 million in federal grant funding. Indiana is distributing Community Development Block Grant funds to rural communities to assist units of local government with various community projects such as infrastructure and improvement.

Hope was among the 17 communities, and the town was awarded $428,360 for a downtown streetscape project. The project involves replacing existing streetlamps, adding accessible sidewalks, and creating other improvements that will help the interior and exterior of the square.
