BARGERSVILLE, Ind. - The Bargersville Fire Department (BFD) paramedics are participating in HALO (High Acuity, Low Occurrence) training alongside regional EMS partners throughout Johnson County this week.
HALO training focuses on medical emergencies that are rarely encountered but require advanced skills and critical decision-making when they do occur. These scenarios challenge providers to perform complex procedures under pressure and reinforce best practices within current medical protocols.
This training was developed by Medical Director, Dr. Barton, in collaboration with Johnson Memorial Health and its affiliated EMS agencies. By training together, agencies maintain a consistent approach to patient care across the county while strengthening coordination between providers.
Ongoing education ensures that BFD paramedics remain prepared for the most serious medical emergencies and able to provide high-quality care when the community needs it most.
