'Bloom Johnson County' debuts in August

FRANKLIN, Ind. - "Bloom Johnson County," a new initiative of the Johnson County Recycling District (JCRD), has announced its first community clean-up on August 13-15.

Hundreds of citizens working together to improve roadsides, parks, neighborhoods, and public spaces in Johnson County is the vision behind Bloom Johnson County.

The countywide partnership hopes to unite residents, businesses, churches, schools, organizations, and clubs to foster a cleaner, safer, and more beautiful community.   

JCRD invites you to volunteer, form a team, and make a difference during the clean-up days in August. 

If you can't volunteer, you can still show your community pride by becoming a sponsor. Sponsorships help provide event t-shirts, supplies, and support.  Sign up your team for, or become a sponsor of, Bloom Johnson County by clicking here.

    FRANKLIN, Ind. - Phase 1 of the Graham Road project in Franklin begins on or after Monday, August 24. The contractor says Graham Road will be fully reconstructed from Earlywood Drive to Paul Hand Boulevard, and the bridge over Canary Creek will be replaced.
