GREENWOOD, Ind. - The Center Grove Police Department and Johnson County Sheriff’s Office investigated social media posts claiming a threat of violence had been circulating among Center Grove High School students on Thursday, February 5. Those threats were not substantiated.
However, another threat of violence was sent directly to a high school social media account. Investigators were able to track down the person who made that threat and arrest him. He is not associated with Center Grove High School.
The suspect, Adrian Abundio-Valente,18, was arrested on a preliminary charge of Communications of Intimidation.
Abundio-Valente wasprocessed into the Johnson County Jail.
On Friday, additional officers from the Center Grove Police Department and deputies from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office will be stationed around the high school. The main campus will remain closed to visitors.
