EDINBURGH, Ind. - The Edinburgh Fall Festival begins this Wednesday afternoon, September 16, and continues through Saturday night, September 19, in downtown Edinburgh near the John R. Drybread Community Center, 100 E. Main Cross St.

The four days of entertainment include a parade, food vendors, a midway, carnival games, and live music.

Wednesday through Friday, the Festival is open from 5 to 11 p.m., and Saturday the fun starts with the 11 a.m. parade through downtown Edinburgh and wraps up at 11 p.m. Admission and parking are free; food and rides are extra.

This year's parade theme is "Stars, Stripes, & Small Town Pride." Hosted by Beta Sigma Phi, the parade committee awards cash prizes for the best floats.

The Edinburgh Fall Festival is a fundraiser for several non-profit organizations including the Edinburgh Lions Club, which hosts the annual "Prince and Princess Contest" as part of the event.
