EDINBURGH, Ind. - The Edinburgh Police Department (EPD) executed a narcotics search warrant in the 400 block of Morris Street in Edinburgh on Saturday, February 28.
Officers located three adult subjects and one child inside the home. During the search, they encountered 41-year-old Misty Neese, a renter at the residence. EPD supposedly found approximately 150 grams of methamphetamine on her person.
The suspect was arrested for Dealing Meth, Possession of Meth, and Possession of a Narcotic drug (Fentanyl). A total of about 160 grams of narcotics was allegedly recovered from the house.
A male occupant, Andrew Burroughs, 33, was taken into custody for an unrelated Burglary investigation.
Another female, the caretaker of the four-year-old child, was cited and released for Possession of Meth and Neglect of a Dependent.
The Department of Child Services was notified of the Neglect charge and will be completing its investigation.
Neese was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail, and Burroughs was transported to the Johnson County Jail.
