TRAFALGAR, Ind. - The Johnson County Community Foundation (JCCF) has announced that a design by artist Isabella Freshour was recently selected for this year's Color the County Mural program.
Her artwork will be painted on one of the walls of Hadwell Hardware in Trafalgar on "Community Painting Day" on Saturday, August 1, from 9 a.m. to noon.
JCCF invites everyone in the community to take part and help paint the mural. No prior experience is needed to participate in the Color the County Mural program, and all paint and materials will be provided.
Hadwell Hardware is located at 203 State Road 135 in Trafalgar.
Freshour’s mural concept uses postage stamps to encapsulate various parts of Trafalgar and Indiana. Each stamp highlights something important to small-town life, such as farmland, nature, neighborhoods, and local traditions.
