FRANKLIN, Ind. - Johnson County Sheriff Duane Burgess swore in five new Merit Deputies earlier this month at the department's headquarters on Hospital Road.
All five come from other agencies and have chosen to spend their career with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO).
The recruits have begun their extensive field training programs and will be learning the "ins and outs" of being a deputy in service to the community of Johnson County.
JCSO welcomed Deputies Pell, Dames, Brown, Mullins, and Pool to the team on Thursday, July 9.
