FRANKLIN, Ind. - The last couple of weeks have been very productive for the City of Franklin. Here's a brief recap.

Mayor Barnett presented ASSIST Indiana with a proclamation recognizing Human Trafficking Awareness Month and welcomed a delegation from Franklin's Sister City, Kuji, Japan, continuing the long-standing international partnership.

City leaders attended the ribbon-cutting for the Johnson Memorial Health Behavioral Health Facility and co-hosted a US 31 business meeting to support local businesses during the upcoming construction.

The Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council hosted a Chili Cook-Off at the Franklin Elks #1818, and Mayor Barnett’s Chief of Staff also connected with regional leaders at the AIM Legislative Dinner.

Mayor Barnett and staff attended Greenwood Mayor Myers’ State of the City Fireside Chat, and Mayor Barnett spoke with young professionals at the Franklin Chamber of Commerce event.

And, of course, the Mayor recently shared Franklin's progress and vision during the 2026 "Journey to Excellence" State of the City Address.
