No injuries in Morgan County house fire

MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. – The Bargersville Fire Department’s Engine 202, Battalion 20, helped Green Township Fire and Rescue (GTFR) in extinguishing a residential fire on Tuesday afternoon, December 30, in the 500 block of Nast Chapel Rd.

MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. – The Bargersville Fire Department’s Engine 202, Battalion 20, helped Green Township Fire and Rescue (GTFR) in extinguishing a residential fire on Tuesday afternoon, December 30, in the 500 block of Nast Chapel Rd.

When GTFR arrived just before 2 p.m., firefighters found a working blaze and began their attack.

Additional units responded and secured a water supply, completed a search of the structure, and assisted with putting out the flames. The fire was brought under control quickly, with units staying on the scene for several hours to extinguish the remaining embers.

No injuries were reported, and the fire is under investigation.

Besides the Bargersville Fire Department, other agencies assisting GTFR were the Martinsville, Morgantown, Washington Township, Madison Township, and Brooklyn Fire Departments.
