SHELBYVILLE, Ind. - The City of Shelbyville’s community rebranding initiative was recently named a finalist in PR Daily’s 2026 Media Relations Awards in the Brand Messaging category, placing it alongside entries from organizations including PepsiCo Foods, Purdue University, and PwC.

Presented by PR Daily, a publication of Ragan Communications, the annual awards recognize outstanding communications and media relations campaigns from organizations across the United States.

Winners will be announced at the PR Daily Media Awards Luncheon on December 2 in New York City.

The Shelbyville rebranding project was developed to create a unified identity that reflects the community’s strengths, values, and direction for the future.

City of Shelbyville Director of Public Relations Jenna Martin led the initiative in partnership with Indianapolis-based communications agency Hirons. They collaborated on community research and engagement, brand strategy, creative development, messaging, and the public launch of the new identity.

The national recognition marks a significant milestone for Shelbyville’s rebranding campaign and the city’s broader effort to strengthen how it communicates its identity, opportunities, and story to audiences both inside and outside the community.
