Almost 2000 students attend Seymour High School's 'College Transition Fair'

SEYMOUR, Ind. - The Seymour Fire Department (SFD) was among many vendors to participate in the College Transition Fair at Seymour High School on Wednesday. 

Nearly 1,800 students from all six high schools throughout Jackson County attended the event.

SFD personnel spoke with students about what it takes to become a firefighter, including the education, skills, and personal traits needed to succeed in the hiring process.

An SFD spokesperson said, "We always look forward to opportunities like this to connect with students and share information about this rewarding career path."
