COLUMBUS, Ind. - Bartholomew County Emergency Management (BCEM) says hotter weather is back for Columbus and the surrounding area through the weekend.
With temperatures of 90 and above expected through Sunday, Bartholomew County Cooling Stations are open for those who need a respite from the weather.
The high temperatures and increased humidity will push the Heat index to 100 degrees and above.
BCEM offered some good news as a cooling period is forecast for early next week. Highs will be in the low-to-mid 80s.
