COLUMBUS, Ind. - As of 8:20 a.m., Bartholomew County has downgraded its travel status to the "Orange" Watch level based on improving conditions across the county.
While progress continues, snow- and ice-covered roads remain, especially on secondary roads and less-traveled areas.
What this means for residents:
- Travel is now permitted, but use caution
- Expect slick spots, packed snow, and icy areas, particularly in shaded locations
- Allow extra time, reduce speeds, and increase following distance
- Continue to stay alert, drive cautiously, and watch for additional updates as conditions evolve
Bartholomew County road crews will continue working to improve conditions, and they appreciate everyone’s patience as cleanup efforts continue .
