NORTH VERNON, Ind. - To celebrate America's 250th birthday, the City of North Vernon Parks and Recreation presents "Red, White, and Boom" at the North Vernon City Park on Saturday, July 4. The event features live music, food trucks, sports, fireworks, and more.
The festival officially begins at noon with vendors and food trucks, but baseball and softball tournaments start earlier at 8 a.m.
"Red, White, and Boom" also features a cornhole tournament at 3:00, with registration at 2 p.m. Live music starts at 4:00 on the main park stage, and continues until the fireworks blast off at 10 p.m.
Parking is available at Sand Creek Elementary School and at the fairgrounds.
It's good old-fashioned family fun all day and evening at "Red, White, and Boom" on Independence Day, at the North Vernon City Park, 604 N. State St.
