Columbus bus routes set to change

COLUMBUS, Ind. —The City of Columbus plans to overhaul and improve its city bus routes, including a color-coded 'loop' system, the relocation of several transit stations, and alterations to existing routes starting Monday, March 23.  

  • Bus Routes 1-5 will become colorful “Loops”, including the Blue, Green, Purple, and Orange Loops. You can preview the new routes here  
  • The Blue Loop offers two “split” routes, with service to the AirPark and Southern Indiana Orthopedics. Split loops will alternate every hour.
  • Stop & Wave pickups are ending. Riders must be at a permanent bus stop to be picked up.
  • The transfer station at Target will move to NexusPark. Blue, Green, and Orange loop passengers can transfer at the NexusPark stop on Herman Darlage Drive. All loops can transfer at the Mill Race Depot at the top of the hour.
